While you normally associate agoraphobia with some old, ornery man, Solomon is only 16. He had a major anxiety attack years ago and hasn't been outside his house since. Lisa is an academic overachiever hoping to coax Sol out of his home as a psychology experiment. Along with her boyfriend Clark, the three of them form an unlikely friendship. But the closer they get, the more it threatens to tear them apart.
This was pretty interesting. Very different from what I would normally read and I really enjoyed it. It's actually really hard for me to be critical because it was such a fun book. Not quite perfect, but I loved the humor and the characters. Their friendships just flowed so well. It really made me relive all the unfortunate ideas I or my friends may have had about sexuality and relationships. It took me a while, but eventually even I was starting to get as paranoid as Lisa (though I would have loved for her suspicions to be true). I thought it was quite realistic...what are the odds that the person you're meant to be with is the first person you've hung out with in years? I would've considered Sol to be the luckiest man on earth.
